IPv6 – Are You Ready?
Explosive Internet Growth
The Internet is about to exceed the capabilities of the current version of the most fundamental Internet standard – Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4).
The Problem is Undeniable
The number of new Internet-ready devices coming to market is expected to increase in the coming years. With the conventional 32-bit IP addressing scheme, the devices will be forced onto private networks, unable to communicate with the rest of the Internet.
IPv4 is the standard used by the current Internet that allows all computers and devices connected to the Internet to communicate. At current assignment demands, the IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority – the body in charge of distributing blocks of IP addresses) could exhaust available IPv4 blocks as early as 2011.
The Solution is Simple
IPv6 is the standard that will continue enabling growth and innovation across networks and the Internet. IPv6 is still in the early stages of deployment, but pace of adoption is increasing all over the world.
We offer several IPv6-enabled services that allow network administrators and IT enthusiasts to begin experimenting with the standard and get their networks ready.
